Thanksgiving is next week, and Comtell's Weekly Retail Summary is keeping us in the loop on the latest price increases and decreases before the holiday events. 

These feature items are seeing some price increases...

1. Eggs

This week, large eggs are retailed at $4.75 per dozen. This is $1.73, or 58.28%, more than this time last year's retail price of $3.02 per dozen. Extra-large eggs are retailed this week at $5.99 per dozen, which is $3.43, or 133.98%, more than this week last year's retail price of $2.56 per dozen. 

2. Fresh Turkey

This week, fresh turkey is retailed at $1.86 per pound. This is $0.21, or 12.73%, more than this week last year's retail price of $1.65 per pound.

3. Hams

Hams are retailed this week at $2.57 per pound. This is $0.29, or 12.72%, more than this week last year's retail price of $2.28 per pound.

4. Fresh Ground Beef

This week, fresh ground beef is retailed at $5.13 per pound. This is $0.66, or 14.77%, more than this time last year's retail price of $4.47 per pound. 

5. Cooked Shrimp

Cooked Shrimp is currently retailed at $8.64 for a cooked pack of 31-40 and $8.79 for a cooked pack of 51-60. This year's 31-40 pack is $0.32, or 3.84% more than prices this time last year at $8.32 per pack. This year's 51-60 pack is $1.47, or 20.08%, more than prices this week last year at $7.32 per pack.
